☆ Steve William Laible is an Oregon Native Son (Ashland); an award-winning, American Children’s Author, [Stevie Tenderheart Books] living in the Pacific Northwest (Grants Pass).
☆ He is the publisher of the Kodel Group, LLC (TKG) with 22-author/clients under 50-year publishing agreements with 122+ titles (all genres) in print, globally. Steve has 18 Stevie Tenderheart books in print, eBooks & Audiobooks, with another 18+ on deck.
He is using his royalties to fund his campaign. At 43 cents a book, it's definitely a shoestring campaign...

☆ January 6th brought him to this point in his life!

☆ Steve returned to his Grants Pass’ roots, after retiring from the United States Air Force to raise his three young sons, Adam 12, Chase 8, and Kyle 7, as a single dad, among some 250+ remaining relatives (including the #Shepard, #Pollock, & #Kolkow clans).
His paternal great-grandmother came to Oregon in a covered wagon from Missouri via the Oregon Trail. Steve bleeds forest green.
☆ When Steve was 3-years-old, his family moved. But he found them again! 😁
☆ He's lived in Ashland, Grants Pass, Medford, Klamath Falls, Burns, Ontario, and Coos Bay, where he spent his formative years. He's a proud Marshfield Pirate (Go Pirates!)
☆ Steve created the Stevie Tenderheart comic strip from thin air, a retelling of his youth, debuting in the Daily Courier in 2005.
Curtis Hayden, Editor, Publisher, Sneak Preview, picked up the strip, giving Steve the wonderful opportunity to express himself from his youthful first crushes to politics.
-- "They" only got in trouble once, when Stevie took his time machine to the future. Turns out, readers approved that particular comic 10 to 1.
☆ Steve ended his 5-year run in the Sneak Preview to write more! (Those panels are so confining.) Hence, his Stevie Tenderheart series of Children's books.
☆ Steve recently DEDICATED two of his award-winning Stevie Tenderheart Books, A Boy's Life (The Accidental Astronaut) & Billy Jack (The Great Escape) to his classmates.
He then DONATED 800+ copies to his 1st grade classmates at Ponderosa Elementary (Klamath Falls) and his Coos Bay schools, Michigan Avenue & Marshfield, in addition to GPHS & Medford, Hazel Dell, Washington & Pismo Beach, California.

☆ Captain Laible is a retired mustang (enlisted to officer); a Vietnam era veteran; a leadership academy ‘Distinguished Graduate’ and first runner-up for the Commandant’s Award. He was beat by a girl! 😉 #GirlPower
☆ Steve ‘retired’ at age 40 on New Year’s Eve ‘93 and the world still celebrates his military service with spectacular fireworks displays from Australia to Hong Kong. (Or so he insists.)
☆ He received the Bronze Star device for Desert Storm (which he declined);
--White House Fellowship nomination (Bush/Clinton Administration transition);
-- was lauded by top Pentagon officials, as the ‘USAF Outstanding Administrator of the Year—Worldwide.’
☆ Over a 12-year span, during his global military assignments, in his off-duty time, evenings & weekends, he earned two Associate Degrees, a Bachelor’s degree and his MBA.
☆ He volunteered with Childhelp USA; Roy Rogers/Dale Evans’ Cooper Home;
-- Built playgrounds in Wash DC with his USAF HONOR GUARD & DRILL TEAM MEMBERS;
-- volunteered as an 'Adult' Literacy Tutor;
-- youth coach (t-ball, boys’ & girls’ basketball, & 10-year-old tackle football) winning ‘Rookie Coach’ of the Year honors & his enlisted nickname: Rooke.
-- He also played Santa Claus & the Easter Bunny at {Department of Defense} childcare centers.

-- Commander-in-Chief, Pacific (CINCPAC) Camp Smith, Hawai’i, (5 years);
-- Chief of Administration, USAF Honor Guard, Wash DC, with White House Duties, during the Reagan Administration, (2 years);
-- Executive Officer (XO) to three Base Commanders;
as Superintendent of Publishing, HQ 15AF, (2 years);
-- 2 years as Squadron Section Commander, Civil Engineering (George AFB, CA)
-- His last tour, 17 months as the first Flight Operations Squadron Section Commander, supporting two F-16 fighter squadrons in Korea, given call sign: Ghost
☆ Gold Medalist (shot put & javelin) at Seoul’s Olympic Park, named “Athlete of the Year.”
☆ Nowadays, when greeted with “Thank you for your service” he shares the harrowing tale of being wounded at the Pentagon.
-- He details how he once received a rather deep, sharp paper cut while filing Top Secret documents. (It was cardstock! And that smarts!) He was not awarded the Purple Heart.

He hopes to one day, generate enough interest in the majority, middle-class to form a legitimate, viable third party, with truer middle-class class representation, solely focused on reasoned, thoughtful, common sense middle-class daily issues. We are tired of being ruled, ignored & taken for granted.

Steve's vision is rooted in the beauty of each of us, how our sum is greater than our parts, our ideas, and hope, we can stop undermining each other, and each party. Nobody wins when the defense undermines the offense (or vice versa) on every damn play!
